Afghanistan Philippines Ecuador
Our 2006 Activity Report

Projects of The Global ShareResource Foundation are in small villages with whom it has forged an organizational relationship with a locally established agency:

In Afghanistan -(right) partnership with the Organization for Advancement of Afghan Women, a New York-based non-profit with project staff in Afghanistan. The project is now focused on reconstructing the Aymini School, a 35-old school for girls located in Chillstone near Jungalak, some 35 kms from Kabul. This was destroyed during the war and is in desperate need of rebuilding.
 
   
In Madagascar, GSRF has partnered with Akany Avoko Ambohitratrimo, (left) an orphanage in the outskirts of Antananarivo, Madagascar, which serves as a half-way house to some 50 orphans, ages from new-born to teenage. Youths are given skills in sewing and handicraft making. Finished products are sold in orphanage gift shop to augment income.
 
   
In Ecuador –(right) partnership with the Nuestra Señora de Fátima, a secondary school in Babahoyo, Ecuador provides vocational training to 14-20 age groups. 235 boys are in automotive/general mechanics, 138 girls are in dressmaking/ hairdressing and 50 adults are in literacy education, from April to January.
In the Philippines, partnership with the St. Luke's Cabiao Community Clinic, in Nueva Ecija, provides free first aid assistance and medical service to the poor in the rural area of Cabiao. The School for Chosen Children, in Cavite, Philipines, trains, educates physically and mentally handicapped children of Silang community. 74 children have cerebral palsy. The Arantza rehabilitations center is pictured, below, left.
 
   
Sambayan Educational Foundation, Inc. (SEFI) in Metro Manila, Philippines, provides scholarship funds, and supports the educational needs of girls from low-income families.
GSRF also partners with the Foundation of Our Lady of Peace Mission, a Philippine-based nonprofit agency. The project involves expansion of the resettlement of the Aeta Minorities in Subic, displaced by Mount Pinatubo eruption. (photo,above)
