How we get involved:
The Global ShareResource Foundation partners with established organizations engaged in community-based efforts geared towards building the economic potential of small villages. This partnership covers a time span that will afford the projects to be self-sustaining.
Primary involvement of GSRF is oriented towards education and skills training. This means:
- Identifying the necessary literacy and skills training or upgrading needed to make/build specific physical structures (e.g., schoolhouse, water wells, etc.) necessary in the communitys re-building effort. Further on the acquired knowledge/skills can be applied for gainful employment.
- Providing the tools, equipment, materials and other implements essential to for learning and conduct training.
- Evaluating the local instructors/engineers recruited and remunerated to provide the training.
How we help:
- Source grants and donations to fund specific projects.
- Form alliances with similar nonprofit agencies to extend related services.
- Ensure permanence of projects through, partnership with US-based small businesses and tie-up with local educational institutions to accredit acquired education/training.
- Hold public seminars/forum to stimulate the support and involvement of professionals in the Greater New York Area.
- Participate in international dialogue involving the ethical, cultural, political and technological issues in alleviating global poverty.
